Introducing Brimstone ...

Do you remember the cool book trailer from UK publisher Hodder & Stoughton? Well, it was the first of five. Five. *mind explodes* And here is the second one!

Up next (and soon): the Akiva trailer. So good. I can't wait to show you!

Also, in very very very VERY cool news, Daughter is an Amazon Best Book of the Month for September! Wheeeeeeee! Thank you Amazon!

But enough about the book. How is everybody? I feel like such a gnome right now. Gnome? Gnomes do live underground, don't they? Yes. Okay. I feel like a gnome shielding my eyes from the light. What's going on out there in the real world? I'm living in my own world, where there is lots of coffee and not a lot of makeup or hair brushing. I am a total deadline monkey right now, and Clementine hasn't been sleeping well, and I'm leaving on book tour (book tour!) so soon and YELP! If I haven't returned an email or a tweet or something, I really am sorry.

Also, did you realize it is SEPTEMBER already??? No fair!

Goodness, there are *five* trailers? I loved this one--it makes me want to read the book even more, and I already really, really want to read it! (Is it September 27 yet? No? *sigh*)
Have an awesome time on your book tour, by the way. ^_^

This is so awesome. Brimstone is my definite favorite character in DAUGHTER OF SMOKE & BONE, and this trailer makes me happy happy. :)

I am preparing myself to be disappointed that you won't be coming to Arizona for your book tour, so I am sad. BUT hey IT IS September your book comes out this month!!!
I am a sloucher and once while out to eat my friend made fun of me for slouching down in the booth. He called me a troll who lived under the bridge and only came out to collect tolls for crossing the bridge. Gnomes and Trolls can be friends right?

Do you know when exactly you'll have your tour schedule?

Congrats congrats congrats! I can't wait to get my *real* copy (have ARC). Thought of you today--was down in Cape May NJ and one of the shops there had a WALL of Laini's Ladies... hope your tour lands you in the NY area! xxx

Three more? What a treat! (I would love to hear the narrator voice the entire series, by the way.) I think of Brimstone every time I go a little overboard with the sugar in my coffee. :o)

I LOVE the girl's voice... it adds to the mood. She should do the book on tape (or CD, or whatever the kids are using these days).

I wanted to tell you that I have never before pre-ordered a book... until this one. I'm so very excited.

Hi all! Thanks, so glad you like :-)

Connie, alas, I am NOT coming to Arizona this time, but hopefully it will happen another time soon -- it feels like the stars are aligning for an Arizona visit!

Steph, I KNOW. Eeeek! Also: Craig will be at Powell's on the 27th, but I will not be here!

Q, soon! I have a rough outline now; it's getting firmed up. Hopefully early next week I'll at least be able to post cities, if not the exact locations.

Natalie, that's awesome! I *believe* there will be a single NY stop. Not sure where!

Marissa & Suzanna, I love the girl's voice too. I never imagined her with a British accent but I LIKE it!

Love the second trailer!! can't wait to see how they introduce Akiva and Zuzana! Whoever they hired is doing an awesome job making them. Going to miss Fattae on her tour but Dr. Asshat will nonetheless keep a full schedule on the homefront.
