The Sapphire Hotel

The other night we went out for pizza, or tried to. One of favorite places, Apizza Scholls, is known for being madhouse-packed, but usually we've found that if we get there by 5:30 the wait isn't too bad. Not so this time. An hour! Not gonna happen! Fortunately, our new neighbors had recently been talking up The Sapphire Hotel, only a half a block away. Eat Drink Kiss? How can you resist a sandwich board like that?

It was quite charming, and apparently had been an, ahem, hourly hotel at the turn of the century.

Clementine was really set on pizza, but when her clam chowder arrived, she devoured it.

Nice to find a new spot!

How awesome that little Pie will eat things like Clam Chowder! One wearies of small people who will only eat hot dogs and mac and cheese (the box kind...) and their parents fix only these things, because "that's what s/he'll eat".....

Portland sounds like the perfect place to live, with cool places only a block from home. I hope you had a nice stroll to the Sapphire. We have to drive everywhere- the price of rural living. Husbands choice, not mine.

Would a lucknow get me a home in Portland? Or would it be a gavriel? Forgot the wish denominations...

Places like that are so much fun. That has to be one of the best looking sandwich boards I've ever seen.
