Off to Chicago - Pre-Pub Tour

So I'm off to Chicago in the morning to kick off an amazing week of pre-publication wonderfulness for Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I suppose this is ... my first book tour! Though it's not the traditional kind -- that will be in fall when the book comes out. This is for the purpose of meeting with booksellers and librarians -- my people! -- and doing a few interviews. My publishers have put together something really really special and I am in a kind of daze that I get to do this.

Seriously. I have been very lucky with every book so far to find publishers who believe in them and love them, but this with Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Little, Brown, and also my UK publisher Hodder & Stoughton, it is of a different magnitude entirely. It is dreams coming true and then ... beyond. And the reactions so far from readers, on Goodreads and Twitter and in emails, also beyond anything ...

I'm a happy happy writer these days. A happy human am I.

I'm not sure what my blogging situation will be this week, so you may or not may not hear from me. But you can follow me on Twitter! I'll be updating there.

Have a wonderful week!

Have a wonderful, wonderful time in Chicago. I second Megsie's question--will you be in Minneapolis? I hope so!

Just started the ARC of Daughter of Smoke and Bone I got at ALA. I hate to admit it, but it's the first book of yours I've read.

So far I love the story, the imagery, the writing... I'll stop gushing now, but thanks, and enjoy the rest of your pre-pub book tour!
