IN BOOK FORM!

LOOK! In book form for the first time! Days of Blood & Starlight!

This is the UK advance copy (on left) and the UK sampler (right), finally arrived to my porch after an interestingly long lull, perhaps in Customs? There is just ... I cannot articulate the magic of finally holding one's own book in BOOK FORM after so many unruly stacks of manuscript pages. There is this wonderful realness, this bookness at last. AT LAST! And when it is so beautiful, well, that only makes it better. Isn't it beautiful? Gorgeous gold glinty letters and all. And hefty! 513 pages, my longest book so far.

Yes, November is still far off, but it will go so fast! And I will be here petting my ARC and cooing to it until the hardcovers arrive some time in October ...

Okay, not really. I will be writing book 3!

XO

Ah!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to read DAYS OF BLOOD AND STARLIGHT. I finished DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE about two seconds after it came out and I SERIOUSLY have been in major withdrawal mode ever since.

I do have a question, though, that maybe you can answer? When will you know about and update your events with the dates for the book tour and when your party will be in Portland? (I'm kind of planning a trip to see a friend around that.)

Ahhh look at it, it's so beautiful! I was lucky enough to win a copy on the twitter smoke and bone giveaway, so any day now I'll have my very own copy. I am SO excited that it's 513 pages long! It's going to be so amazing.

So pretty! Oh man, I'm so excited for this book.

I'm a new follower of your blog. Your interview at the end of the audiobook for DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE (which I loved) is the reason I'm still working on my WIP. Thank you.

Yay!!! If I didn't love this book SO much I might have felt bad that I got a copy before you did. But, I really can't feel bad about it, as it was way too good to feel guilty about anything ;)
I am glad you finally received it, and I can't wait to see the pics of the hardcover - I hope the UK one is all pretty and shimmery like Daughter was.
Congrats on another fantastic book!

A friend that I bought the book for, keeps pointing out things in the book that I've forgotten. The story is so intricate, looks like I need to read it again to refresh my memory and prepare for book two. I can't wait! Your fresh, creative style encourages me to continue perfecting my own writing.

I have my calendar marked for release day of new book. Did I already tell you that while I pass along most all of the books I buy, your books I keep and buy another copy for my friends.

I CANNOT wait for this! I'm dying to know what next! I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone to such an extent that I now write "You will be awarded with cosmic goodwill and hard cash" in the front page of all my little story notebooks. My friend and I are also struck dumb by how similar our friendship is to Zuzana and Karou. Days of Blood and Starlight is never going to get to my little corner of India as fast as I want it to :( And thanks also for the awesome way you depicted India in Spicy Little Curses Such as These, I could finally say "Yes! Yes, this is how my country was during the British Raj! This is a right idea of Hindu underworld!"
