I just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I'm normally not much of a fantasy fan, but I absolutely adore this book. It's definitely earned its way into one of the coveted bedside table/bookcase spots for me to reread whenever I can't sleep or am feeling blue.
I'm reviewing it for my local independent bookstore, Watchung Booksellers in Montclair, NJ, and I can't sing the book's praises high enough.
I'm so excited to meet you when you go on tour. I'm planning on going to the one in Madison, CT on October 1st!
Just got my copy of Daughter of Smoke and Bone from Amazon today. Happy day!! The cover is gorgeous; can't wait to lose myself in the gorgeousness inside. You are so inspiring, Laini. Working you into my middle school class this year-- going to teach "Goblin Fruit" along with "Goblin Market" during our narrative poetry unit. Love, love, love your writing.
I just requested that my library buy Daughter of Smoke and Bone and they've put in an order for it! I don't know if people realize that lots of libraries will buy books if you suggest them. Can't wait to read it!

ReplyDeleteAmazon seems to have started shipping Daughter of Smoke and Bone today (Sept 14). They list it as "In Stock" rather than "not released yet".
