ah, just wonderful. so much of a taste and a tease and i can't believe we have to wait another… seven weeks?! Seven more weeks for the book to come out and satisfy our curious and anticipation!
but the writing is just so lovely and reminded me exactly of why it's worth the wait : )
You had me at "nightmare cake." Actually, you had me at a blue cover and "Daughter of Smoke and Bone," but you've got me again. I utterly love your writing style. If there's any one writer whose style I actively wish to emulate, it's yours. I can't wait to read the rest!
Don't worry, everyone is freaking out about how great this book is gonna be and this just adds fuel to the fire. I for one am excited about a) new characters! one of whom is b) a woman of color! and c) my favorite trope in all of sci-fi/fantasy: unmasking the masquerade (which is such a great name for that trope especially for this series!!)
I have chills. It doesn't matter how I'm reading your books, or where, I am completely absorbed. Those two chapters have me absolutely hooked. I'm counting the days!
