Memories of the Womb

So, apparently Clementine has memories of the womb. As became clear this morning when she said blithely, over breakfast, "Mama, one time when I was in the house inside your tummy, I was riding my bike down the stairs, and I saw a tartantula."

So, I guess I have tarantulas.

In case you were wondering.

  1. That's HILARIOUS. "The house inside your tummy" is GOLD.

  2. I believe tartantulas are Scottish arachnids and come in a variety of colors and patterns depending on their clan.

(Also, always, she is the CUTEST.)

  4. That's cute. You might want to look into those tarantulas, though.

  5. LOVE.
I have a memory my mother swears only occurred shortly after my birth. Who knows what kids remember?
I'll never forget my barely 4-yr old out of the blue asking, "Mom, what happens if your soul loses its keys?" Surprised he even knew the word soul.
At 5, he looked to the sky thoughtfully, then said, "Those clouds look like memories I've forgotten." Then he looked to me concerned. "I don't want others to see my memories."
