  7. You know that feeling when you just want to devour a book - but you know that when you finish it you will be bereft so... while you are drawn to read every minute you try to stay away to help savor it? Yeah, I have a houseful of kids and myself in that realm right.now. with DOB&S. Well, except for the one who completely inhaled it in 10 hours- she's fulfilled, for now! You are awesome and that spot on the NY Times list - SO deserved! Congratulations! My girls are begging me ask just one little thing: Could You Please Write Faster ;) No pressure :)

  8. You deserve it and it's about time. I'm still amazed Daughter didn't make the list. You're a writing jaggernaut! Thanks for your great writing tips in Publishers Weekly, too! My friend hasn't started reading book two, yet. I'm going to surprise her and buy it for her. We were in the hallway at work, talking about the series and screaming, "Brimstone!!!!". People passing by thought we had totally lost it! Lol... You're awesome!

  17. Hi Laini,

I just saw this and wanted to give you a big fat CONGRATS on the success of Days of Blood and Starlight! I am so curious... figures were given for Daughter of Smoke and Bone... what are the sales figures for days? And how many languages is it available in?? I would like to get an idea of the scope of this wonderful second book.

Side note: I will be buying Dreams of God and Monsters on the day it comes out, just like I did with Days. Keep it up, girl!! <3
