Oh my gosh, is it time??

It IS! It's time. (Almost.) Somehow it is almost April 8th! That happened fast. I'm still trying to accept 2014! I'm off tomorrow morning for the first leg of the DREAMS OF GODS & MONSTERS tour, which starts in Albuquerque and will wind me around back to Portland via Texas and California. A few days at home and then: Toronto and Boston. A day at home and then: England!

See HERE for tour details!

My amazing publishers, Little Brown, have some incredible stuff planned for the events, it's going to be so fun and I will definitely be posting pictures here. I hope to meet you soon!

Oh, and...

...I hope you like the book :-)

P.S. I'm feeling very in love with the amazing Daughter of Smoke & Bone fandom right now because I was over browsing the tumblr site and there's so much fun stuff! Check it out!

Hi Laini!I've been counting down for DOGAM. Except I found out that it actually came out a while ago in NZ, so I'll read it this Friday, even as I await my signed copy. I am burning with anticipation, in fact I think my week will be quite strange. I'm just waiting! Your writing is so incredible!

Imagine there's a parade of common swifts and dandelion seeds and star splinters and arctic foxes following you on your tour. Yes. YES. They love the book, and so do I.

Got to work late, again, because I had to stop at B&N and get my copy so I could read on the way to work. So good and I'm only 30 pages in. And yay for the signed book plate. Happy touring!

Hi Laini! I finished DOGAM a few days ago, and it was amazing! And a great conclusion to the series. It just blows me away what a talented writer you are.

Picked up my pre-ordered copy this morning. Couldn't be separated from it for mundane things like driving and kid care. So sitting in the bookstore parking lot I bought it from audible, too. Been switching back and forth all day. Brilliant, beautiful, perfect! I'm giddy in love. Well done!

I accomplished so much today. I sat around on the internet for around four hours waiting for the book and anxiously looking outside every other second to see if it came (as if that would have made a difference) and read. Well, in the middle I had to go to dance so I had to stop reading for a while and I am currently halfway through this absolutely gorgeous book! I had to pay the extra $12 for shipping in order for it to arrive today, but it was worth it. I am so excited for the tour!!! I didn't know that the Festival of Books required tickets and now your's is sold out, (congrats!) so I hope to get lucky and get one of the few tickets they will have there. If I don't then I am forcing my mother to drive me to Huntington Beach so I can see you again. I love your books and Dreams is beautiful so far, I can't wait to continue!

Hi Laini! I just wanted to tell you that I got DOGAM yesterday, went to my room, and didn't come out until I was done! My eyes were almost tripping over the words, the writing was so gorgeous I was so anxious to know what happened. It's, in a few words, a simply great book, and thank you so much for sharing it with us!

I finished the epic ending of the trilogy not more than 10 minutes ago. Thank you for writing something so amazing, my heart feels happy and full. Incredibly thought through, wonderfully clever, absolutely epic. I loved every moment of it.

OMG!!! DOGAM it’s incredible!!! stunning!!! I just want MORE!! Thank you so much Laini! You've given me some precious time in Karou's world. I think I'll start reading the trilogy again... right now.

Thank you so much for your gracious comments at the festival of books in la yesterday. My daughter was so excited to see you and to give you the sketchbook that she has been working on for months. It is so wonderful when an idol lives up to the pedestal that they have been placed on. Your genuine kindness is refreshing and appreciated.

Well Ms. Taylor, I finished it. I have so many questions and so many *feels* as fandoms like to say. I am so astounded by your writing and your story telling, and I know I won't be able to see you on this book tour, but there'll be others, right?

Thank you again for sharing your writing, and I bless the day I decided to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone. May the rest of your writing career be plentiful, since I have no doubt that it will be successful, whatever you publish.

I got my copy of the US B&N edition (Love the illustration! Beautiful.) on Monday and have been reading the book every spare moment. I finally finished the book at 2:45 am last night and it has made me so. Happy. All day. Beautifully done!!!!

Just started reading Dreams of Gods and Monsters.

I've decided there is a thing called "The laini Taylor Effect".

Seems that no matter what I read after Laini Taylor...it could be a book that I would normally rate 4 or 5 Stars...it just doesn't seem all that good.

DoGam was out in here in the Philippines by April 10. Finished it on the same day like ALL your books. Had to get dreamdark on ebay at an expensive price. Worth it though. I'm kind of an e-book person. But all your books i HAD to get the physical copy. You're THAT awesome. Excited for what's coming out next from your awesome mind. Thanks for a world of laughter, love, heartache, despair, and, most importantly, hope.

Come to the Philippines! (It's SO HOT thought.)

Hope you decide to return to the world of Daughter, Days, and Dreams one day. Even it's years from now, decades from now. I'll wait. (Those Godstars though.)

Laini, I love your books so much that I always buy them in hardcover, audiobook, and the beautiful German versions, which have the most amazing artwork on the actual book. I am having a hard time finding the release date for the German copy of Dreams. Do you know when that version will be available?

Love from Austin,
Becca

Just finished it last night. So...the next trilogy comes out soon right? Like next week? Something like that? Just tell me when I should be at the bookstore. :) It was amazing. Three books worth of amazing. Thanks.

I just finished the book at 2am yesterday (today?) and the ending BLEW MY MIND. I was doing so well at just reading a few chapters every night before bed, pacing myself, making it last, but I couldn't stop myself from devouring the last 100 pages in one sitting! You have created a masterpiece of great beauty - thank you for sharing it with the world!

So excited to see that you will be coming to Australia!

Loved Dreams and Monsters...such a fulfilling ending to an awesome series but so sad that the journey with Karou and the gang will now only live on in my hearts speculation.

Thanks Laini, hope you are doing something fab for yourself !

I just want to thank you for your gorgeous books. When I read DoSaB and DoBaS last year, I couldn't read anything else after, so I reread (well...listened...the audio is phenomenal)them because I didn't want to leave the worlds you created. I just finished DoGaM and have already listened to the last five minutes of the epilogue three extra times. There will never be anything like these books for me. They connect me with my students (I teach high school English), and they inspire me as a writer. And beyond that they just make my soul so stinkin' happy. THANK YOU.

I just finished reading/ re-reading parts of, "Dreams"; I loved it! Thank you for such an epic and heartfilled story; I'll miss the people of it, but can always go back, so thank you again!

You did it.
I just finished DOG&M and there were times I had to stop reading and walk away…but HAD to come back and see what happened. The deeper I got, the more I kept asking myself--"Damn, can she pull this off???"
Answer: Yes. Yes she can.
So many threads woven together into an incredible tapestry. Well done, Laini, and thank you!!
Of course, now I am hoping for more...

Dear Laini,

I just want to let you know that yesterday was one of the sadest days in a really long time. I finished DOG&M and after turning the last page, I felt like letting go of dear friends. I still can not believe that there is no more to come! Although I am very sad that I read the final installment of my favorite series of all times, I really want to thank you - for giving it to me; to us; your loyal readers!

Thank you!! *hugz*
