I think the Universe is trying to tell us something. These are from three separate batches of fortune cookies over the past month or two. Actually, these were all Jim's fortunes, so I guess the Universe especially wants HIM to travel. But I think Clementine and I will tag along :-)

The first draft is done, woo hoooooooo! And now?

The second draft. Yep. This month will be a killer too, but getting the first draft done is the hugest of huge hugenesses and I am so happy. And tired. And happy.

Huzzah! Maybe you want to travel to the cornfields of Illinois? Y'know, just for funsies? And so that we can meet up? ;) I trust that wherever you go you'll do it justice in your beautiful photos.
Travel is most necessary to nurture the writing mind. And chocolate and other goodies too.

Congrats on finishing the first draft! I find the second drafts easier. Still grueling though, but the story is there for you to play with it. Could it be that you will be touring the country for your second book and come to Boston? Please Little Brown, please send Laini to Boston. We need her here!
Maybe you can become the first family to visit the current version of the Space Station. Then who knows what Aliean race might wish to whisk you from there, deeper into the Universe, where they reside. Good writers are hard to find, afterall. Good luck to the Traveling Family.
