Eye Candy Breakfast -- Let's go swimming with cool clothes on

I happened upon some underwater images last night and got mesmerized and thought:
Time for Eye Candy Breakfast!

LOOK AT THIS. AIEEEEE! SWIM FASTER!

A lot of these are from a photographer named Elena Kalis. It's her thang.

YA readers, does that look familiar? Wonder if it's the same photo shoot as this ...

Which became this ...

I haven't read it yet, but mean to. Ditto this next new YA also with an underwater cover:

Really love this too, from photographer Zena Holloway:

And here:

Random:

And last, from a real underwater sculpture garden, I think it's in the Caribbean:

Cool!

:-)

Eerie photographs.

I've heard great things about The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer.

Thanks for sharing.

Amazing images! I think it's great that two YA covers used underwater images for their covers.

Swim faster is right. The girl in the first picture looks very calm considering *she is about to get eaten*. These are some beautiful photos; thanks for sharing, Laini.

*munch, munch, munch* Mmm, breakfast. It tastes of salt and sea and pearls and wonder. Thanks, Laini!

Also, super huge congrats on the Amazon pick for Daughter!!!

Love and lotuses,

Shveta

P.S. I hope you got the e-mail with the presentation I sent some time ago. I was worried it would get trapped in people's spam filters, but with luck, it reached you safe and sound. :)

I remember an America's Next Top Model episode, way back when, when the ladies had to take pictures underwater. Some of them FREAKED OUT, but in the end the pictures looked amazing. Something about underwater and the ethereal look and the flow that just makes it all purty. Thanks for sharing! And feel better!

I am a sucker for underwater photographs. I often paint underwater scenes. Loving the underwater world must be in our DNA, in some amphibian brain :)

These are amazing (they were my "eye candy for lunch" today). And you should definitely read 'Imaginary Girls.' So good, you could read it in a day, even with a toddler in the house (I have two). Happy writing!
