Hi there! A super quickie quick blog from the land of cardboard boxes being climbed by toddlers. (By the way, two amazing new sentences from Clementine yesterday. First, out of the blue: "I'm so happy!" Aw man. Me too. Second, holding a book with a puppy and a kitten on it: "I want my own puppy." Clear as day. What, seriously, with the sentences? I am agog. In a good way.)
Okay, so, like I said, quickie quick. You guys know goodreads.com? I'll probably have more to say about it by and by, but I was snorting a bit over this vlog by debut author Lauren DeStefano, on the subject. Having recently fallen prey to a kind of masochistic reveling in reviews, wherein I caught myself scanning past good reviews in search of -- in search of -- bad ones, I thought I'd show you:
Funny funny. And more than funny.
Also, in the midst of my review-scanning (heck, there are 491 reviews for Lips Touch! had no idea!), I came across this, by Lamia, and how much do I love it?
A lot, that's how much I love it. Thanks, Lamia!
Okay, the box-climb toddler grows impatient, more dare-devily by the moment. My little Spiderman :-) Have a lovely day!

I love the pie chart! I love the dare-devel baby! Most of all I love that she is happy and wants a puppy! Complete cuteness.
I love Goodreads just because it is how I hear about most of the books I read. I keep track of what my friends are reading & have even made new friends with similar taste. But I have almost gotten in fights with people online, when I have read reviews that were made of stupid. I guess that is just life you can't have the good with out the bad as well.
Best! Pie chart! Ever!
Thanks for linking to Lauren's video. I hadn't seen it yet. :) Ah, yes. Yes, yes, yes. I'm allergic to Goodreads. I'll confess to guiltily sneaking peeks at the overall standing of my books, but never — NEVER — the individual reviews. *shudder*
I love the pie chart! I just saw the video on another blog and totally thought of your comment about "picking scabs."
congrats on moving and selling the cottage and all the great stuff associated w/Daughter of Smoke and Bone ---and on top of that, Pie and her sentences! Life is good :D
