Essaouira Strolls

Out for a stroll on the old sea wall in Essaouira.

The old Portuguese cannons, from the days when this was Mogador.
Isn't that a sinister name? Sounds straight out of Tolkien.

And in the main square:

And the harbor.

Around town.

And the beach!

(Clementine's first-ever opportunity to swim in the sea, and she loved it!)

A very beautiful, colorful, and relaxing town. We loved it!
(More of Essaoira to come. But right now I'm falling asleep. Good night!)

Just started Lips Touch Three Times and I love it! I'm not much of a fantasy reader but, who knows, this may just be my initiation.

I love your pictures. It's clear there's a certain shade of blue that fits your fancy. Have you ever toyed with this color for your hair?

Also, I really don't know what's more adorable. Your daughter or her name. It might just be a draw.

Very nice to meet you. I will visit again, for sure.

This reminds me of Garth Nix's "Abarat" series. Except the boats in that world have to be red, for monsters not to eat them, not blue.

MacDougal Street Baby, thank you for stopping by! I'm so glad you enjoyed Lips Touch :-) As for that shade of blue, I *do* love it, but it's particularly prevalent in that city. The heroine of my new book has hair that color, btw!

Nameless Wonder, I haven't read those! And I love Garth Nix. Must now read :-)

Thanks, Andalucy!

Hoobubby, remind me to show you the videos and the full jaybird pics :-)

Emily, ha ha. I hadn't noticed that in the picture, but the "Berber Viagra" joke was pervasive and a little wearying!
